How to Apply for SGIP Battery Storage Incentives

SGIP Eligibility

Commercial customers of SCE, PG&E, SDG&E, and SoCalGas are eligible. Systems must be new, meet performance requirements, and be installed by approved contractors.

Incentive Calculation

Base incentive is $200/kWh. Equity customers receive $850/kWh. Fire zone and medical baseline customers receive additional adders up to $1,000/kWh.

Application Process

Submit reservation request through program administrator. Provide system specifications, site documentation, and interconnection agreement. Approval typically takes 30-60 days.

Documentation Required

Required documents include utility bills, system specifications, single-line diagram, proof of purchase, and host customer agreement. Equity customers need additional income verification.
