On-Site Solar to Hedge Rising Utility Costs

With three buildings across the greater Los Angeles metropolitan area, Ability Tri-Modal is a transportation company that prides itself on superior customer service. Ability-Tri-Modal approached the Promise Energy team with a simple ask: reduce electricity costs as much as possible. 

“We are very happy with our Promise Energy solar system. The installation process was smooth and nondisruptive, and the project was completed on time and within budget,” said Mike Kelso of Ability Tri-Modal.

Promise Energy designed and engineered customized rooftop solar arrays for Tri-Modal locations in Carson, Lucerne, and Reyes. The projects would represent 478 kilowatts of solar capacity, resulting in nearly $4 million in energy savings during a 25-year period.

Additional Ownership Benefits

Ability Tri-Modal decided to purchase the three solar arrays instead of pursuing a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) framework, so that the company could reap direct benefits of the Federal solar investment tax credit. Overall, the company reaped over $570,000 in Federal and state incentives to defray upfront costs.

We appreciate Promise’s efficiency, great communication, and dedication to excellence, both in the quality of the installation and in maximizing our savings.”
